What are 3 things that inspire you?<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>The way children see the world – So many great uses for a chair that adults can not see even though they try.
\nMusic – Storytelling set music – It is basically poems and the good ones inspire a lot.
\nMy PLN – on twitter that share great stuff. I have the deepest respect for the power and good intentions that are here.<\/p>\n

If you could travel anywhere in the world what would be your top 3 destinations? <\/strong>
\nI would like to see New York City, and since Mylee promised me a personal guided tour of Sydney it is definitely also on the list. In Europe I would love to see Riga in Latvia. Heard a lot of good things about the city.<\/p>\n

How do you keep up with changing trends in the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) sector?\u00a0 <\/strong>Again Twitter is often where I go to first and I have a handful – no two handfuls of must read blogs \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Also shows like \u201cThis Week in Libraries<\/a>\u201d and \u201cCirculating Ideas<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

What do you hope the #23mobilethings project achieves?<\/strong>
\nI hope it will broaden the understanding of mobile technology within our field. We need more geeks but we also need more people with basic knowledge.\u00a0 I also hope that the new knowledge people gain from the course will make them invent new meaningful ways of offering library services to people.<\/p>\n

What 3 new things do you hope to learn this year?
\n<\/strong>I do basic mindfullness – I hope to get better at it.
\nI hope to learn a lot of new stuff about leadership – I signed up for a new education.
\nI hope to learn to be better at taking recharging pauses when I work.<\/p>\n

What are 3 things that inspire you?
\n<\/strong>History – the ingenuity and ideas of people over the millennia.
\nThe learning process\/the “lightbulb moment” – sharing knowledge is one of the most powerful things people can do.
\nMy family and friends.<\/p>\n

If you could travel anywhere in the world what would be your top 3 destinations?
\n<\/strong>Very hard to pick just three! London (and England generally), Italy, and Vietnam have to be on the list though.<\/p>\n

How do you keep up with changing trends in the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) sector?
\n<\/strong>Working with Mylee, I’m lucky enough to get the benefits of her knowledge and connections – I have an ever growing “reading list” of articles and posts she finds and passes on! But in general I try to read as widely as I can and talk to colleagues and contacts.<\/p>\n

What do you hope the #23mobilethings project achieves?
\n<\/strong>Innovation – people using the course as a chance to think about new ways that their libraries could use mobile technologies.
\n<\/b>The other thing I was hoping for (and it’s happening already!) is that course participants would support each other through the process – we are already seeing that, through organised groups as well as individuals working through the course at their own pace.<\/p>\n

What 3 new things do you hope to learn this year?
\n<\/strong>I mentioned the learning process above as something I find inspiring – I hope I will always be a student of some sort. My three things would be:
\nLearn more about how computers work.
\nHistory is a lifelong interest – my current topic is ancient British Isles (book recommendations very welcome!)
\nCheating slightly here – science in general. Of course a huge topic, but so many important and exciting developments.<\/p>\n

What are 3 things that inspire you?
\n<\/strong>People who are enthusiastic about what they do; new ideas (I recently was lucky enough to go to TEDxSydney<\/a> and hear about some very exciting big ideas); collaborating with people on projects.<\/p>\n

If you could travel anywhere in the world what would be your top 3 destinations?<\/strong>
\nI hope one day to see the Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights), visit the NYPL (New York Public Library) and to spend more time exploring the outback \u2026 trust me, if I were allowed 50 destinations on this list I could have filled it!<\/p>\n

How do you keep up with changing trends in the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) sector?<\/strong>
\nI use Twitter a lot, particularly to follow different conference themes \u2026 it\u2019s a bit like being inside the Matrix<\/a> with all the data flowing around me. \u00a0I also really enjoy listening to people talking about projects they\u2019re working on.<\/p>\n

What do you hope the #23mobilethings project achieves?<\/strong>
\nI hope that it provides a few \u2018light bulb\u2019 moments for people working through the course, those magical conjunctions of what you learn and what you already know that propel you forward to make new connections and come up with new ideas. \u00a0I also hope that it helps library people to walk in our clients shoes and to see ourselves through the window of their mobile devices…. will we like what we see?<\/p>\n

What 3 new things do you hope to learn this year?
\n<\/strong>More about digital humanities and linked open data and how libraries can plug into this world of researchers and collections.
\nTo cook salmon fillets just right, so that the skin is crispy!
\nTo relearn enough of my highschool German lessons to be able to follow the Zukunftentweckler @ Zukunftwerkstatt <\/a>group doing #23mobilethings<\/p>\n

And the most important question of all …. is it true that the #23mobilethings team is caffeine fuelled?<\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n
